Welcome to the pages of the Prague working group of the High Energy Stereoscopic System (H.E.S.S.). The experiment is designed to detect cosmic gamma rays of energies ~100 GeV - 100 TeV. You can find more information about the experiment in the section about H.E.S.S..

- 5th December 2008
Article "Very high energy gamma-ray observations of the galaxy clusters Abell 496 and Abell 85 with H.E.S.S" was accepted for publication in A&A.

Launch of the FERMI Gamma-Ray Space Telescope satellite mission, which should be sensitive to energy range 8 keV - 300 GeV and thus complement the energy range of ground-based IACT experiments, such as H.E.S.S.
