ATLAS (A Toroidal LHC ApparatuS) is one of the two experiments planned for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). This huge accelerator will be put in operation in 2005 in the European laboratory for particle physics (CERN) near Geneva, Switzerland.

Scientists, students and other stuff from Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics are participating in the ATLAS experiment, taking part in development and tests of some ATLAS subdetectors:

• Inner detector               
• Hadronic calorimeter Tilecal
